Nick is joined by David Yates, Newsboy from the Daily Mirror, to reflect on the day’s racing news with 8 days until the Cheltenham Festival. With the highly unusual events of last week still fresh in the mind, they consider how the Festival may be covered in the mainstream media, whilst simultaneously offering a series of results that would provide positive and uplifting stories for the sport. Nick talks to Andrew Gemmell, owner of stayers’ hurdle favourite Paisley Park, and GBR jockey of the month Matt Griffiths, with high hopes of Festival glory on Bear Ghylls. Also in this edition, Paul Fisher – formerly of the Jockey Club and now Executive Vice Chairman of City Racing, tells Nick how new life has been breathed into the concept of running horses on pop-up tracks in city locations across the globe.
